The SGB name pays homage to the neighborhood we grew up in on Bainbridge Island, WA. The story goes that a Norwegian explorer named William Bull arrived in Seabold on a stormy, windy day. As he watched the waves crashing on the beach he thought, “The sea is bold today!” From then on he decided the neighborhood should be called Seabold.
We use all fresh and organic ginger, lemons, cane sugar, and spices, and brew each batch of SGB to taste.
We recommend enjoying SGB within four weeks and our Ginger Cordial within eight weeks. Keep both products refrigerated and be mindful that because we use whole, organic ingredients, a natural separation will occur. When this happens, shake gently for the best result.
SGB is non-alcoholic.

Ginger has long been revered by ancient Chinese, Indian, and Middle Eastern cultures for its medicinal properties. Ginger contains a very potent anti-inflammatory compound called gingerol, which has been known to help alleviate digestive ailments, nausea, and arthritis. Along with containing antioxidant molecules, ginger protects cells from free radical damage and helps boost your immune system. Not too shabby!
Ginger beer is ginger ale’s older, stronger brother. Ginger ale is often light and dry with a subtle ginger flavor, whereas ginger beer tends to be richer, sweeter, and packs more of a spicy punch.
